Hi guys, I am wondering how specific are the job responsibility on the letter from your employers? My employment letter from HR simply says "the main responsibility of this position is to develop annual and quarterly A index and B factors." The A and B are terminologies which I don't expect anybody that's not in my area would understand.
I am claiming my job to be an Electrical Engineering position(NOC 2241). Will this job description satisfy the requirement of CIC on employment letters? My title is A&B Analyst so if they don't know what is A and B they may not recognize if this is Electrical Engineering title.
Shall I ask the HR to revise the employment letter? Any suggestions or examples of employment letters?
or 2241?
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/English/NOC/2011/ProfileKeyword.aspx?val=2&val1=2241&val11=electrical+engineer&val12=0&val13=0&val14=&val15=0&val16=0
In any case, it would be helpful if the letter could list at least 3-4 main responsibilities, and yes, in English suited for the layperson if necessary.
The letter of course should not be IDENTICAL to the NOC description, but it may be useful to show HR the NOC description and see if they can revise the letter. And make sure to attach the business card of the person signing, so that CIC can contact them if necessary (and because it's required).
