I have a question regarding employer specific work permit. Can I get the work permit for a part-time job in canada? And I also wanted to know if I can remain in canada having a part-time job.

If you have a LMIA, the job must be full-time. Not sure what you mean “remain in Canada”, because if you have a work permit you would be working in Canada.

Thanks for your response. full-time job requires working at least 30h/week. Is that right? and I also have another question. is the expiry date of visitor visa cic give to work permit holders the same as that of their work permit?

Yes. Minimum is 30 hours and job offer must state full-time. Do you have a LMIA? Are you in Canada? Status?

I am in Canada and have an employer specific work permit which was LMIA exempt. I have applied to extend my work permit and my application has not been approved yet. My current work permit will be expired in 3 month.
I wanted to know if I can now apply for a visitor visa to be able to remain in Canada in case my work permit extension is not approved? will CIC issue the expiry date of visitor visa the same as that of the work permit?

If your work permit is valid then you can apply for a TRV. What the expiry date is will not be known until approved.
