hey sorry for the late reply, yes they did seize my passport and gave a certified copy and i did not file at port of entry but within canada.
my timeline is as follows:
october2022-filed and received AOC
november2022-biometrics and seizure of identity documents
december2022-eligibility interview

i was basically asked security questions, to like verify my identity and legal questions, nothing to worry about but please be perpared as nobody's situation is the same.

Nothing really, they will go over some documents with you and you signed them such as the conditional departure order, they give your refugee claimant document which looks like work permit , they take your passports, 4 piece of passport phots and thats it. And they tell you, you gonna get your work permit in few weeks . They dont ask any questions about your claim. It really just a formality

They gave you a departure order too? May I know the reason in a letter? I got a brown paper+ departure order and some other papers
