We dropped off our application on 27th March and got nomination on 3rd June.
There were several calls to applicant and employer in the week prior to receiving nomination.

PS. We got ITA on 12th June.

U dont need to work under the same field of study .. but there are other requirements u should comply check out the below link

For EEBC skilled worker category,
does this mean we can not take job offers not related to our previous experience?

Yes if its skilled category in BC EE
But EE international category does not say that

But the program is currently closed right ? I read on this thread that they will reopen the program on July with a quota of 5500 applications. Is this correct ?

Anything from July 2nd; not applicable for prev applications

Just about the job, qualifications, etc. Nothing to worry about.
