Re: Education certificates of spouse
shezad said:
just a small confusion
as ICE CUBE mentioned
Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas
in India we have education system like that
10th Secondary
12th Senior Secondary
then graduation after 15 year completion
so according to this I have to submit education certificate for 12th and graduation
for me and my wife not for 10th right ?
Even no need to send certificates of 12th, they want postsecondary certificates only.
dear ruka n ice cube,,,
if ur intention is to proceed canada wdout taking ur wife than u need to submit a notarized non accompanying family member declartion with application when sending final documents to CHC however u can claim her education points under adoptability.....

As i know , if spouse is not accompanying then CHC will not give any points for spouse education under adaptability.
It is clearly written in
OP06( section 11.15, page40) that
a) Educational credentials of the accompanying spouse or common-law partner:
Evaluate credentials as if the spouse or common-law partner were the principal
applicant then award points as follows:
• Where the award under R78 would be 25 points - five points
• Where the award under R78 would be 20 or 22 points - four points
• Where the award under R78 would be 12 or 15 points - three points
Doglover,
What you did when you sent your application to CHC.
you sent only degree certificates.
If it is really no requirement of Sr, secondary and all then why
bother.
so should I prepare only copy of degree for me and my wife right ?

Yea only degree certificates are required, I just sent my college/university certificate, as they demand only about POST SECONDARY DOCUMENTS, i.e. after 12th for Indians. It is given well in document check list.
Best wishes
Thanks

pls read out instructions under factor-6 of below link.

in my case particularly, i've claimed 4 points for my spouse education and mentioned in my application that she'll not accompanying me and i got AOR from CIO to send my send docs to CHC. one of my friend have done same and he is in final stage though CHC will carry out medical check of all ur family members whether they will travel with you or not..

the lines i pasted above( in last post) were from op06. Buddy, I hope u know that OP6 manual is the main operation booklet which is being followed by Visa officers.
I would also like to clear u that CIO, NS only check Job duties and they give a Dam to points. It is the CHC who are final authority to allocate the points. One member of this forum
Irshad2005 recently got rejected at CHC, ND due to shortage of points though his file was passed successfully by NS people.
I can assure u that ur friend must have had more than 67 points even after reduction of his spouse's education point. In the link provided by u, it is not given anywhere that points for spouse or common-law partner's education would be given
even if he/she will not accompany and is not a part of application. Nonetheless Op06 clearly indicates that
accompanying spouse or common-law partner.
I wish I may be wrong here cuz it will give u 4 points. 8)

If u want to go by the advice of Wilson u r most welcome, 8) if u want to send the 8th, 10 or 12th certificates then absolutely no harm in that, I will not discourage u for anything, u can send anything, any documents, it is ur file, ur decision ll b the final.
However just for ur knowledge here is the link which clearly indicates that CHC , ND specifically wants
post secondary educational documents-

Hope it will clear ur doubts to a greater extent.

No need to send 10th or +2 certificate, they want POST SECONDARY ONLY( means after+2)
Doglover no choice to repeat this question u know why i asked this question
because i read somewhere it is gud to send you 10 and +2 because in many
place people do degree without passing 10 and + 2 exam.
thats why i want to confirm it.
