Thanks
The ceremony took a total of 2 hours, we had 66 citizens today.
At last, I am now a certified Canadian citizen.

Yay
Edmontonphil,
I m wondering are you planning to submit your passport application in person, because we need to provide the citizenship certificate but if I mail it in I will have to fold it to fit into their envelope. Don't really want to fold the pretty looking certificate lol
I would rather apply IN PERSON through the Canada Place - Service Canada. It takes 2 weeks to receive your passport.
My timeline- Edmonton
Application received November 2011
Processing started Jan 30th 2012
Citizenship test March 6th 2013
Citizenship ceremony to be done April 23

Congratulations! I am going to have my test at the end of the months, and I am afraid of getting an RQ. Have you seen many people receiving RQ on the test?

I am not sure what a RQ is!
Don't be afraid of the test. Study, study, study!!!
I used the Richmond library website test mostly,
It was spot on.

Goodluck edmonton2011...I know you can made it. After the test, please share your experiences so that other aspirants could have an idea what is going on during the citizenship test. I guess, no RQ for you. Think positive.
Good Luck Edmonton2011! You can pass that exam!

Hi, I've just started the process and here is my current timeline:
"We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 11, 2013.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 11, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on April 8, 2013."
I think now the most difficult part is started: waiting 12-24 months to hear back from them. Wish me luck and good luck to you all!

Hi Outlawtorn, Any updates as to when are you having your exam? Thats amazing, you submitted your papers on Feb 2013 and got processed on April 2013 as well. Whereas mine, I submitted it last year June 2012, CIC started processing on June 2013. It's now my one year anniversary of waiting, and yet no date for exam. Hope you could keep us posted and update us of your timeline ;Dl. I want to meet that judge as well.
