because i have dependents outland.. in their ready for visa letter says they need to send their passports within 30days after the principal applicant (me) attended virtual landing.. I dont know if the days started counting after i uploaded my picture or if we need to wait for the photo approval before sending their passport

Not sure on this. virtual landing means your ecopr date, I guess. But we can send the passport once you get the visa for ready email.

sent the passport when we received ready for visa but was sent back without stamp because principal applicant haven't had virtual landing yet,,

Whats your vo? If montreal then it may take time.

I dont now if we need to wait for my approval first before we can send the passports again or if the IRCC is waiting for my dependents photo first for review before we will be approved

yes montreal.. but i read some experiences here received their ecopr 2hrs after portal 2 or 1day after portal 2.. my friend here received their ecopr 2 days after portal 2... mine already 6days now.. and they wont even answer my question about my dependents passport.. sent emails and webforms already

Every case is different. Cant compare, wait for some days, contact local mp if you are in hurry they may help you.
