I recently submitted my spouse's sponsorship application to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga. If I'm able to check the ECAS status (saying that a decision has been made), does that indicate the sponsorship has been approved? Or is that an ambiguous statement and too early to conclude that about it. Thanks in advance!

it just mean that they have made a decision to see if you are able to sponsor your spouse or not....when you get the letter it will let you know the results
If you mentioned inf your applications that you'd like CIC to contact you by email they would send you an email the moment that decision had been made, if you did not then expect to received a letter in your mail box this week.
If E-cas mentions DM, you should call the call center.. Note that call center agents cant tell you about the decision.
But can surely let you know how it was communicated to you and you can cross check your email if they have sent via email.
