I couldn’t download my e-certificate since I got the invite code since tuesday from the Mississauga office. The system was showing “there were issues submitting your form” despite submitting the form immediately after the oath ceremony.

I eventually used the Mississauga service Canada office, not wanting to risk it with the Scarborough office, and got the new passport.

it's such a minor issue unless you plan to travel non-stop all year around. for most travelers who might only take it out few times a year, just put it in a protective case and store it in your drawer, problem solved!

applied at Hamilton (Queenston) office yesterday. Let's see what I receive. Be shocked if it's the old design. BTW those looking to avoid long lines, this is an amazing office. You'll be in and out at opening hour in less than 15 minutes.

P.S.: came home and saw that my surname was spelt incorrectly on the receipt. Checked passport status with wrong surname and boom I get passport status results. FML.
