Ok,
I have just recently received access to my e-cas account, and I am looking for some insight from someone more experienced than myself.
When I log in, after seeing my name/address and so forth there is a box stating
Sponsored PersonSponsorship Application Status -Application Received
Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received
Does that mean that they have just received a complete application package? Or does that mean that they have already sent the PR application to my VO?
Thanks!
Any other helpful insight about e-cas would be lovely as well!

I'm curious to know this too. After how long of your application were you able to log in a see your status?

I initially applied for July 3 2012, and things went awry, so I redid my application package and it was arrived August 8 2012.
So, I guess around 60 days from the first day, and around 30 from the second.

oh boy, what a long road
That's the way it worked with my application as well. It said Application Received for both the sponsor and the applicant. This means that they have received your completed application and are currently working on Stage 1 (sponsor approval). With my application, once I was approved as a sponsor my status changed to Decision Made. This meant that stage 1 was complete and the application has been forwarded to the appropriate office for stage 2 to begin. Hope this was helpful.

Yes Charlize, Sambre is right, your application is on stage received, and will be in process or just decision made for the sponsor approval at some point, not in the process at this moment though..
After decision made on your sponsorship approval your file will be forward it to Bucharest (mine was forwarded to Ottawa for the reasons I have no idea and staied there for almost three months... :-\and arrived in Bucharest only at the end of January 2012-not that I want to descourage you but you have to expect of everything )
Good luck!
Thanks!! I will have to keep this information close for when there are any changes!

This is what it will show when you have been approved as the sponsor.
After that, it will show 'Decision Made' under sponsor and 'Application Received' under the applicant. The applicant's e-cas status will stay that way until they start working on the file. Once they start processing, the applicant's status should change to 'in process'. If you sent the medical results with the original application package, it should show that as well 'Medical results have been received.'
I'm at the 'in process' stage and waiting very patiently (not) for the passport request.
