I am planning to join pg diploma in business management in centennial for may intake. I received offer letter from college. It is stated that its a 2year/4 semester course. But the start day was mentioned as 4th may and estimated finish date as august 2016 which means the duration of the course is only 16 months. Can anyone tell me whether the course is 24 months long or 16. How many years of PSWP will I be getting. 3yrs or 16months. I want to go for a 2yr programme because il get 3yr PSWP. But now am confused with the duration.. Pls advise

. i think its a two year course not 16. bcoz in canada every student study for 8 months in a year and in other 4 months you can work full time acc. to govt rule. and you gonna get 3 year work permit. but u should still confirm it from ur consultant. thnx
Thank you so much for your reply..I consulted the college office. They said its 16 months course and they can not tell abt the PSWP and it has to be checked wit cic

3 year PSWP is given on 2 years study. doing your degree in part time (to increase the duration) would not also work. because PSWP is given only on full time study.
It depends on course. Here are some explanation. Some colleges offer 16 months including co-op. In this case, they will get 16 months or 2 years work permit. However, 4 semester which is study permit except for co-op term or internship, they will get 3 years work permit. Is that clear for you?
