IMM 1294 Duration of Study Problem

Hello everyone

The standardized Acceptance letter mentions my program as a 1 year program. However, I talked to my supervisor and she says M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering is a 2 year program. The graduate admissions says that it is written as 1 year because they only charge the tuition fee for that duration, for the consecutive year one only pays the continuing fee. What should I select as my Duration of Study in my IMM Visa Application form? 16 months or 12 months? If I select 16 months it will not match with the acceptance letter whereas, if I select 12 months it will not be enough to complete the course.

I dont understand why they gave you that reason, admission team regardless of modality of your tuition fee. If they are adamant, choose 12months and apply to extend before expiry if approved
