i had ordered my third set of gcms notes last week . Since i M in India, i had requested the notes posing as my friend, who is currently in canada and uploaded the consent form accordingly under the Right to privacy act.
yesterday i got an email from ATIP saying that they cannot process my request since they cannot determine whther the person on whose behalf the request is raised in presently in canada.
Clearly I am not in Canada, Thats why the request was raised by my friend. But i dont understand why they are still asking me this.
They also mentioned that if you want to request these notes, order them in the other categosry which has the 5$ fee.
am i missing somethign here..??
I am aware of the 5$ fee category which is the one other than the "Right to PRIVACY" act. mso should i raise the request in this category..??
what is surprising is that 2 months ago i had raised the gcms request in this same right to provacy category without the 5$ fee and my request was accepted and i got the gcms notes..
i WONDER why they picked up this issue this time..??
I'm not sure what the process is. Seniors can you help? Their voice is stronger than ours so maybe they can get some details for you. They can't make any influence on the process or ur decision on your app tho.
Hey Dude, you have to be patient and you know that CIC is watching this forum and they know who you are through your IP.
The CIC folks are working hard with a lot of applications to process which often than not are not
well presented. There are many people before your Singh so be patient and join the cue and not try to jump it like at the Patna train station.
And please, no swearing.

So fffff frustrating. Called CIC today. last time i called they told me to call in June so they can take any action. I called back in june now they said for them to take any action call back in november.
WTF? they have a bunch of clowns working for them seriously. They treat us like Dogs!!!
*censored word* man. Its been 13 months all i have heard is application recieved. I did the medical last month they recieved it as well.
Due date on my app was june 4th. i dont have any hope of them responding any closer to the due date!
If my due date was May 15, at which point should I order another set of GCMS notes to see what's going on? I just did my upfront medicals last week. Should I wait another two weeks and order new notes?
Also if we have not heard from CIC weeks after the second review due date, is that bad news? I would assume that if the second review went well, I would have received MR or something...
