Hi Qorax & Seniors,
I am expecting first AOR in coming days (application received by CIO on 4th May-10) . One query regarding the PCC validity.
If I take the Dubai PCC & India PCC now in Aug-10 (which is valid for 3 months ) and I am submitting the full documents in December-10, will my PCC will be considered as valid or not.
Or do I need to apply PCC at the end while submitting the full documents.
Appreciate your valuable suggestion.
Regards
Cool
Coolguy 2010,
The Dubai PCC takes only 4 days to process and the Indian one takes 10 days (they say 10, but it normally comes within 5-6 days)
I suggest that you get the above two done just a month before you plan to send your full documents. This way when it reaches the London office, your application recieve date will clearly be within the validity of the Dubai PCC.
Also, my suggestion, visit the Main Dubai Police office near Port Rashid. They open at 8am and it takes just 30 mins to apply as the crowd is less. You will receive it in 4 days (you will have to collect it)
Also, just FYI, if you do not know, you cannot get the Indian PCC without the Dubai PCC. To explain further, you will need to show the original Dubai PCC in order to apply for the Indian PCC.
I had done the same as I live in Dubai too.
All the best !
Nowadays if u go to apply for Dubai Pcc the police directs u to the nearest police station close to ur residence. Next they have started issuing it in Arabic but previously i had got it in English. Now Arabic Pcc is again a problem since u need to get it translated and notarised.

PCC is valid 3 months prior from the received date of your app. at CIO, Sydney. So you are very much within the limits. It does not matter when you submit the documents to your local visa office.
Lock-in date will the receipt date at CIO Sydney.
Not more then 3 months for PCC from lock-in date
Not more then 1 year for IELTS from lock-in date
Get your PCC's immediately. DO NOT wait till later. Submit your documents early...
