Very valid point, didn't think of that. However, birth certificate will be notarised. However, I remember of having my additional degrees notarised. There's no harm in sending additional docs though.
Another question - why is the birth certificate being sent at all?
The Express Entry applications don't require Birth certificates, except for the children, if any.
So no need to notarize anything at all for the application process actually... if it is just 1 principle applicant..
If there is spouse, then maybe ensure certification of marriage certificate to be 100% sure... if this is applicable.. (If not in English/French, I'd prefer to just get it translated from Ontario certified translators - no need to certify or notify anything extra then)
If there are kids, then the same goes for the birth certificates too.

just take traveler cheque from any where and while landing in Toronto show them as proof of funds. no special requirements
if u can land early try to land early because December is start of full cold season, and people arriving in canada must avoid cold season at their landing. Welcome to Canada

From PPR letter they gave us 3 option.
1. By sending thru Canadian Application Visa Center (VFSglobal).
2. By sending thru courier "Aramex".
3. To submit in person to Abu dhabi. (*we cannot do it because we have no time to go to Abu dhabi)

Ah ok so meaning thru VFS is like a double handling, from VFS they will also send it by Aramex or courier? One thing also maybe how many days it will take before you will receive back your passport with Visa stamp?
