Please let me know what to be specified as " Family name " if my childs passport is not showing any detail . His complete name is specified in the " Given Name " itself .
There is something wrong with the information given to you. Log into internet banking and see what is the status of the DD there. If you have not deposited the DD already, suggest opening the account in RBC.
I have already presented the DD. Online banking is showing it as "on-hold for another 30 days". Though, it is adding up to my total bank balance, but amount equaling DD is on-hold, means that I can't use it...

Please let me know if i need to specify London as immigration office or Abu-Dhabi , Also what status you have given for Country of residence for you and your family .

Okay this is good then, the amount is already credited to your account, you just can't access it for 30 days (this time will decrease as you build history with the bank).
If you really need the money, you can request the bank manger to remove the hold (some managers are more accommodating then others).
Not sure why the bank teller gave you wrong information earlier.

This is a very common problem with Indian passports. Better to get this fixed now before applying, or if you are in a hurry to apply, you can go ahead as is and mention the family name as you would normally do and then get it fixed before you submit for stamping. This was the case with my wife's passport. We realised this problem only when they asked for PP submission.
