But why dont u renew visa now? It does not take more than 3 days to renew visa.

In canada it wont take u more than a week either to do landing formalities, so if u r not worried leaving canada before u get PR card, 2 weeks r more than enough.

Well, its a long story, but the main reason behind that renewal thing is....our HR is very slow in renewing our insurance cards. I cant renew the residence visa til they renew the insurance first.

working days but generally you get it sooner
We got our by mail in 1 week approx 5 business days - havent checked recently but I think it says 10-15 business days on the official website

It takes 2 weeks for delivery via aramex but a week if you collect directly from abu dhabi (i collected personally as i was in urgent need of pp,wanted to travel to home country).

Sorry gents for this question. Can personal collection be done from Abudhabi embassy? how its known when the passports are ready for collection?

I don't mind going personally to collect it. How can I get this done and who to coordinate with at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi ? My processing office was London.

Yes mine was also London.
I received email first (than hard copy )for passport request and that officer handling my case in London was kind enough to reply me.
He updated me that passports are dispatched to AUH. I traveled to embassy and showed them his email copy, requested for the pp as my mom was hospitalized in India. They gave me in few minutes..perhaps if you are not in hurry don't take stress , let them do their job and you will get through courier.

What if the wife gets pregnant after landing papers have come?

What are the best options available? Should we immediately leave for our first landing & deliver baby in canada or deliver baby here in dubai( but we lose the instant Canadian citizenship for our baby).

If we leave immediately, will the insurance company in canada cover the pregnancy expenses for 3 months & after that will the delivery expenses be covered under federal medical benefits or will they reject it as a pre condition?

if ur wife is in good health, then dont wait , insurance charges r not issue, chk with uae insurance, out of country pregnancy covered, u shd claim expenss from dubai. If not still leave dxb immidietly and after landing come back.
