Canadian Bank offers immigrants smart services
Dear all,
If anyone has missed the Gulf News article few days back: -Title: Canadian Bank offers immigrants smart services
-Date: 05.12.2009
-Paper: Gulf News
Jist of that article is that 'Scotiabank' has a 'StartRight' program, which is tailored for us, immigrants. Under this scheme, we can open an a/c from Dubai, they are giving us 'one yr' free service, including a 'free locker'. U may like to log on to: www.startright.scotiabank.com and have a look.
Yes, all the intl banks here can do that for u as well (HSBC, Stanchart, RBS etc.), however each has some limitations & some heavy charges. While Scotiabank is quite compititive, besides with a tailormade program for us. It is also one of the most highly visible banks in Canada (alongwith CIBC & TD Bank) branches wise, ATM wise.

Nice to see Dubai Forum, I believe I am late to get on to this forum but still I will happy to be part of this.
We had out 3rd successful meet today at the Sahara Centre-Shj. It was indeed a warm surprise to have many 'newcomers' join us today; AND a special welcome to see many lady wives too.
Our next meet has been planed as:
-Date: 09/1/2010 (Sat)
-Venue: Dubai Festival City (Food Court)
-Time: 1300 hrs. (1:00 PM)
-Organiser: 'krishan'
Today, in attendance were: self, 'krishan', 'lopap', 'adacol', 'sunnydxb', 'bharatdxb', 'engr.m', 'suhail', 'i2canada', 'mjcanada' and few more freinds who are not on trackitt or canadavisa (thus, no user ID here).
It was a pretty good tete-tete that we had today, I convey my Thanks to all having made it ! And deep appreciation to the lady wives, who took their time off from their busy schedule to join us.
It was indeed a gr8 experience to know all of you guys....well i look forward to our next meeting and hope that all of us have some sort of gud news to share......gud luck guys!!!!!!!!!

What do you think for an architect like me working as a Facility Mngr/Superintendent ?
Anybody've got an Idea about the courses /Canadian Qualification required for this kind of job??
I received letter from London Immigration office requesting submission of medical and RPRF payment. On the same letter in bold they mentioned
" Please use enclose reply label when responding to this letter and enclose this letter (or Photocopy) with your reply"
I didn't received any reply label, does they mean to put sticker (bar code with file number) on main envelope which was pasted/sticked on this letter?
We applied for FSW from Dubai through an agent.
The wonderful agent sent our full docs to London office only in November (eventhough we submitted full docs requested in October).
Till date no ecas status change nor any info from our agent.
Keeping our fingers crossed and hoping to hear from the agent's corporate office in Canada.
Regards
