Kindly give your opinion on this. Inspite of browsing diff. sites I couldn't find the answer to my question. In toronto am I able to use the following cells phones. They are:

I just chked the specs of both the above phones. They are both Quad Band GSM phones and will work in Canada as long as they are unlocked.
Also I was in Canada in June/July and would like to advise you that make sure you double check that the service that you are buying is compatible with your handset i.e. its not CDMA

Canadian Cellphone Bandwidth

In Canada, GSM-1900 is the primary band used in urban areas with 850 as a backup, and GSM-850 being the primary rural band. Not all phones work in that bandwidth -- but many do as well... that requires us to pre-confirm that the phones we have are compatible with the band of the networks here. Frequency compatibility problems can be avoided thru the use of multi-band (tri-band, or quad-band, especially penta-band*) phones.

I am planning to apply for a student visa kindly enlighten me with the following:
1. how to get a cheap university
2. which state in canada offers cheap tuition and cost of living.

Please advise...i really want to move out from dubai to get the benefits from other country on my retirement.

Does it require? OmMona as far as i remb you have recvd 6-12 waiting letter and ur case is in process.. so i think the points are already calculated and you are ok .. now only background checks are left...

yes , ur consultant can highlight those points and request to correct it with supporting documents

PPR2= Request for the original passport

Could you please tell me when do they ask for PPR1 and PPR2 as I have done my medical and waiting for PPR

Dear Qorax and Seniors,

As we have received our PPR, om the "Updated Information Chart" my agent asked me to write fully the details as seen on our passprots - Surname and First names. On the Surname it is clearly : the last name first line on the passports. On the "First Names" column, do we need to include our Middle names? What I did is to write our middle names right after our name(s), but I striked an error, I was not able to write the middle name of one of my dependents (just his name only), will it affect the outcome of the Visa stamping or the details of the COPR when received? I am so furious about it when I photocopied the file and reviewed later on. Does the VO officer will rely mainly on the handwritten UIC or will base/check all the infos and details thru the passports? Please share your input and advise me on what to do, it is really a terrible thing that lapsed on my part.

Hi Qorax & all forum members!
My ECAS status has now changed to "Decision Made", but it still shows my current address. I have seen some discussions where applicants have mentioned having it changed to a Canadian address.
Got PPR just 4 days after 'Medicals Received' line was added.
Now 'Decision Made' line has been added just 3 days after PPs were received at LVO (and without an address change).
Is it something for me to worry about, or am I going crazy for no reason?!?
Please comment.

Dear co-applicants and seniors,
During the Eid holiday, we were blessed by God Almighty with our PPR thru mail.
We are very very happy with this update, it is exactly the 4th month since our medicals were sent to CHC London.
Your prayers and wishes made this to happen! Thank you guys for all the guidance and motivation, and to the seniors especially Qorax on providing us with invaluable postsand pieces of infors to help us understand the different processes. And to all those who are sharing and posting their experiences/opinions and suggestions in this thread - thank you so much.
But then again our faith and patience should still withstand the next stage (which is the visa stamping) hope things will go well for our case too!! Please share your feeling/thoughts on this very last stage of our application.
