Just to be sure. we have declared CAD$ 20,130 in our application. How much should we bring at POE in cash and in BD/TC? Our deposited money also has increased to around CAD$ 23,000. Can we declare exactly what we have mentioned in ou application or we can declare or bring all the present money in our account? Please help.

1. U can bring-in whatever amount u want over-n-above, BUT the min should be as per the CIC guideline [the pax table].
2. The ideal/wise way is the "80:20 Rule" -- 80% in Draft/s & 20% in Cash [or some in TCs].

I just discovered this forum few days back and really it's a great source of info .. thanks to everyone..
just wanted to share with you that i am also living in dubai i am iraqi .. my wife and I have applied since 2006 and finally we have been asked to send our passports for visa stamp
we have been through some time where we really waited and waited and almost lost hope that this will happen .. but finally it seems that the dream is becoming a true
is there any group gathering u r doing here in Dubai .. I would love to meet some of u ..

Received Passports with shining Maple Leaf!!!! Visa was issued dated 03.02.2011. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
For me it took exactly 13 months after sending full docs to London. ( as per London avg time line)
Thanks to this wonderful Forum and each and every member who helped me and my family in this wonderful journey.
I never approached an Agent and am proud to say that this Forum is my Agent.

hi see i received my CAIPS on dec, and as per this they have some doubts which is as per v/o concent and the file b/f date is 12/02/11, but till now i didnot received any thing from CHC side either they need clearification through some addt documents or they need interview or directly medical when ever i send enquiry they have a same answer we are waiting VO to review your file . this waiting is killing me

Yes buddy captain is correct
coz there is a case on june 2010, one guy send his/family passports in courier from Oman to ND. The courier guys in Gulf dont care,thy accept and send. Whn it went to bombay customs thy made the issue. finally with Gods grace the guy got the outpass and went to india to solve.

so its 100% luck, Guys who send b4 i think didnt face any issues. Actually its illegal sending by courier or others carrying ur passports

Hi, is your case handled by an agent ? i am asking this, just because in my case, my medical letter was dated 12 Aug, but my agent forwarded me on 5th Sept !!

So , i m optimistic that the VO might have send you further communication paper (medicals or additional documents) which should reach you soon.

just i want to announce to everyone the good news .. i just checked the CIC website .. our case has turned from In Progress to Decision Made ;D ;D ;D

I was expecting it today as i was compering Satish's time line:

Passport sent to london..: 01-02-2011
Decision made 22-02-2011

this is 3 weeks ..

I cant wait to get my passport .. things will never be the same any more

believe it or not I was not keeping track of the progress specially that in some point of time i really lost hope .. hats off to my wife, she is the main applicant and she was the one following every single step with our laywer ..
anyways ..
these are some important dates
" We started processing your application on July 14, 2006. "
medical was done on Aug 28th
passport received on London office 1st Feb
Decision made today 22nd Feb.

again this was all done by my lawyer, this is why i don't recall the exact dates ..
