One more Dubai resident wanted a clarification.
My driving license of UAE is 8 years old, will take a non violation/good conduct certificate from RTA.
They are giving now computer generated certificate. I sthis valid or I need to get it stamped from any Ministry?
I am moving to Alerta so carrying an international driving license too but still would like to have less classes there.

We are also currently living in Dubai and moving to Toronto in May this year. Anyone ex-dubaiite or still in Dubai moving to Toronto around the same time?
Also, anyone living in Toronto currently can guide us to a decent short term apartment since we would like to take a long term leased apartment once a job is finalized for either myself or my husband.

Condo rentals are offered with a written contract - and for a minimum of one year term. For short-term rentals you've two ways to look at it:
#1: Land with a guest house booking, or a motel for a few weeks.
#2: Surf the neighborhood you're interested in and grab a basement apartment (within somebody's house).
Later, as you're well versed with the lay of the land ~ move into a better / independent apartment thru a full rental contract.
Hello everybody.. I received ITA and submitting e-APR soon
Do you guys have a Whatsapp group for this forum?
Anyway I just created a Whatsapp group for Dubai and UAE applicants, if anyone is interested feel free to pm me or leave a comment.
I translated some documents from Arabic to English from a certified translator( certified by the ministry of Justice in the UAE). He provided the translation ATTACHED to a copy of the original document and both documents are stamped + copy of his translator ID.
- Is it good to go with such translator or should it be one of those online Canadian translation companies ?
- If it ok so far, do I need to notarize it what I have from them ?
-If yes, what exactly am I supposed to do ?
I remember meeting Qorax and Biju in Dubai a few years back. My name is Ali bhai, and what they and other full members have done for this forum and many others is priceless. I wish I can give more time and help in some way. But glad to come after so many years and this group is still active.
