Hello everyone , I am really hoping someone can help with this. I worked as a Financial service rep (FSR) with a credit union. As per the job tittle the NOC (6235) category is B but my company is very strict with job description letter which brings my NOC C (6551). The job description on the cic website does not match.
I worked as FSR for 1 year, but I was promoted to take up a hybrid position which is FSR/Account manager for 12 months. Now Account manager is NOC 1114 and is in category A.
Which NOC should I be using to apply for Canada experience class express entry? I am confused because my job letter says its a hybrid rols FSR/ Account manager 1.

Hey I’m in the same position as you actually. 6551 but then got promoted after 1 year to a higher position which is 6314. 6551 is noc C but we need B for CEC. What are you thinking of doing?

You cannot chose at NOC based on job title. Without knowing your actual job duties, there's no way to really advise on this.

Not sure what you are asking. If you held multiple positions with a company, you need to count each position like a different job, and your letter(s) of reference need to cover all of the positions. You will get credit for work experience for any properly documented skilled work experience.
If you mean, which NOC should you choose as your primary NOC, it does not matter (under CEC) as long as it is skilled, most people would choose their current NOC.
I am confused because my job letter says its a hybrid rols FSR/ Account manager 1. What are you confused about? If you're trying to chose an NOC based on a job title, that's the wrong approach anyway.
I am under the impression that NOC is used based on the job tittle. I am confused because my job offer has two positions mentioned in the format "Hybrid FSR/ Account manager. Both of them come under separate NOC codes.
The job duties I have for my current hybrid position matches the job duties of account manager that is NOC 1114 that is category A
Does that mean the NOC is selected based on Job duties and not the title? or there is a different way to chose NOC code?

Are you sure? NOC is based on duties and not on job tittle.
This is the confusing part because I am not 100% sure about it.
if we are choosing based on the job duties, then the job tittle on the employment letter should not be a problem. In that case I should be able to do express entry are 1 year experience.
Are you sure? NOC is based on duties and not on job tittle. 100% sure. That isn't to say that IRCC won't also look at your job title. But there would have to be a significant discrepancy for it to matter.
This is the confusing part because I am not 100% sure about it.
if we are choosing based on the job duties, then the job tittle on the employment letter should not be a problem. Correct. Every employer uses their own job titles, that's why the NOC cannot be based on them
In that case I should be able to do express entry are 1 year experience. Again, without knowing your job duties, there is no way we can confirm. Choosing the wrong NOC is a major cause of having applications refused, which means that many applicants do not understand the NOC well enough to choose wisely.
And, If your employer says you are NOC C, then you are going to have a problem.
