I will be taking the oath ceremony next week. I was wondering if the guests can wear jeans. For myself, I think wearing business casual should be appropriate even though CIC website says wearing business attire?
How long does the ceremony last? My test will be at 2 pm, how early do I need to be there before the oath ceremony?
You are permitted to wear denim jeans on the lower part of your body, but a denim cloth or garment may not be worn in such a manner so as to obscure your face from plain view of the prying eyes of CIC officers, especially while you recite your oath. As per CIC regulations, your face must be kept naked throughout the duration of the oath ceremony.

CIC will take your PR card at the Oath. Your husband can be the guarantor provided he meets the requirement.
