Doubts regarding Inland Applications

Hello

If PR (EE / PNP) is applied while in CANADA , is it that one cannot move out of CANADA till the processing is completed or does this applies only in case of sponsorship applications?
Do we need to apply for Open Work Permit for both us (Me and My spouse) while the PR application is in process (when inland application is made)?
Currently My spouse is on Closed Work Permit and I am on Open work Permit currently.

I believe if you move or leave Canada for an extended time then your application can be considered abandoned if you applied inland. Even planing any kind of travel outside of Canada is difficult once you have sent your application in. They could request some kind of extra documentation and would give you limited time to send them the documents.
