Don't need to submit Birth Certificate for single person?

I got ITA and am in process to get any documents together. I'm not sure yet though, I don't see anything for Birth Certificate for me. That means that we don't need to hand it in for Express Entry? Apparently, if for those who have family to immigrate need to submit their birth certificate, according to description of EE.

Yeah, I think so. However, there is no category to submit for me. Nothing show me about it. I checked the web site to tell us. as follow:

Mandatory documents (if applicable)

Copy of birth certificate or other equivalent document
Purpose

To prove the dependent children's relationship to the parents

Document requirements

This document is required only if the applicant identifies dependent children.
The document must be one of the following:
birth certificate;
equivalent document from birth country; or
letter of explanation (where no birth certificate is available in the country).
Individuals who must submit this documentation

All the dependent children, including non-accompanying

That means, they need to submit if they who dependent children. Right?

on the checklist they are not asking for bc..at least not yet.

I already submit my application...and in not a single moment they asked for bc...just passport pictures..so if this was mandatory will be the first thing on the list!! But if you wanna submit to be safe its up to you

As long as they don't say about single person, I won't do it.

my situation is the same. I'm single, do not have a BC and my score is 438 ( expecting ITA in next draw )

No need for primary applicant or spouse BC. I already submitted my application. However, if you have a child, you need the birth certificate of the kid.

I'm having trouble getting a service letter from my ex manager

i do have these documents; would they be sufficient ?

- contract letter
- promotion/permanent letter
- letter of recommendation that they gave me before i went for my masters program
- 6months payslips
- governemtn tax form (in english)

BC is required for the children. It has to indicate the name and identity of the parents. In my country its called an unabridged BC. Luckily for me our home affairs department included my wife and my place of birth!
