I currently live in Canada, with a temporary visa (OWP) and applied for the PR under Express Entry on January.
I just received my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CPR) and will have to submit my passport since I'm from a country whose citizens need a visa to travel to Canada. I will not be able to send the passport now because I am going to a one week trip to the USA next week. I am hoping that I will still be able to use my temporary visa to re-enter Canada.
Does my temporary visa remain valid even after the CPR? Do you think I should be worried or if I should try to contact CIC to figure this out?
I only received the passport request. So my post is kind of misleading :'(
No CoPR yet. Does this mean I should not be worried?
I got this in the email: "You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence"...

Do the math and see if sending the passport after you come back is too late. If it is I am guessing that a trip to the USA is less important than becoming a PR.

It will not be too late. I will still have a week to send the passport after I come back. Nevertheless, I am worried if I will have any problem re-entering Canada with my temporary visa.

If you look at the email they sent you it should say that "they are ready to issue your visa". They probably won't issue the visa until they have your passport, in which case a previous visa would not be invalidated. Send an email to the agent that sent you your PPR request and ask.
