Does 4 year cap on work permit apply to BOWP?

Hi all,

Just a question about BOWP.

I know we are allowed to work for only 4 years in a row as Foreign Worker and after that 4 year cap, we need to stop working for another 4 years.
I have been on 3 year work permit and then 1 year IEC permit. I did work for the most of 4 year period. If I apply for PR before my current permit expires, am I eligible to apply BOWP and continue working until the PR is approved?

This 4 year cap does not apply to PR applicants who applying for BOWP.
