I have reached a stage where the documents needs to be notorized and send. I need to know how would I have to get the document notarized? I am presently in US and so there are a few options.
1. Can I get all the documents notarized from Bank? If Yes, does anyone know if the Bank would do approx 50 pages notorized ?
2. Is there any other cheaper way where I can get my documents Notarized in US?
In general terms the Notorary signs mentioning that the signature to the copy was done in front of them. Does that conclude notorary or is there something specific which would mean that the Notorary has to be done by a Lawyer or some person who has checked the original too.
If some one can share how did anyone who was in US got their document notorized it would be very helpful to me.
Bank is probably the cheapest because it is free. Even if they don't do 50 pages, you could do 10 pages in one branch, another 10 in another branch, etc.
Most banks in the US does notorize for free if you bank with them. Yes they can do 50 pages. The other better place to notorize for free would be any public library. You would need to have copies along with the originals to get notorized.
Hello
Somewhere in other threads, I found out that the notarized copies are valid for longer peroid of time ie more than 6 months, do not quote me but that 's what i think too.
I have another question regarding notorized documents hope we all can discuss and find possible answers. I am not sure which documents we should notorized. For example, sealed transcript are not supposed to be notorized. Another, My realtive is a permanent resident of Canada, I am curious whether I am supposed to notorize their landing documents and permanent residency if yes, how am i supposed to.
I have used BOA in the past. If you bank with them they will be more than happy to notorize as many copies as you want. Ensure you carry the originals.
I would imagine other banks would probably offer similar service.
I have a chase account and I went to them. Chase mentioned that they do not notorize the COPIES to original. They just notorize the Original, I am not sure why any one would like to have Original Notorized and they said some may need. I inquired with some agents and they say that they do not do notorize such documents. Few said they do but would charge $5.00 per copy.....Isn't that too expensive ?
