Do we really have 30 days to get the biometrics done?

Hello,
I was reading the application process for my country and read that I must give biometrics and that:

• You must pay the biometrics fee when you submit your application. Otherwise you may experience delays.
• Get this done as soon as you get the letter from us that tells you to give biometrics.
• You have 30 days to do this from the date on the letter.

Its a bit ridiculous since I dont have a VAC in my country so I need to book an expensive last minute flight within 30 days...

I will do it but I will book flight way before I file my application, that way ill get a cheaper flight.
