Hi,

A simple question. Is there a requirement of re-enter Canada every 6 months to keep the PR valid or can we stay longer out of Canada.

Green Card holders for USA have this requirement to re-enter USA evey 6 months to keep their GC valid.

Please reply!

There is no such requirement. U just need to maintain 2 full yrs of stay in canada out of 5 yrs to maintain yr PR status. If u do not then u will not be able to renew yr PR status after that.

Up to 2 years.

A Canadian PRC is not the same as a US Green Card, as in, the US says you have to be in the US once every six months (or a year, can't remember) whereas the Canadian PRC means you have to be in Canada for a full 2 years.
