DO I need TRV to exit Canada??

Hello All,
I have a valid work permit. But, my TRV (Visa Sticker on passport) is expired. However, I have applied for one which is taking a long time . I wanna go back to India. Can I exit Canada without valid TRV and Write a web form to change the Visa office to India and get sticker stamped on my passport once approved?? Is it possible at all?? Thanks in advance

You can always leave Canada at any time.
