I have submitted a complete study permit application in mid July and my course will start in September. I still haven't received an AIP and my application is stuck in the 'background check' phase.
knowing that I am risking paying the tuition cost and finding out later that my study permit is not approved, can I still register for my courses before getting an AIP?
I asked them, they allow students to register before AIP.
My concern is whether Immigration officers will allow students to take classes even though they did not receive an AIP. In other words, will they consider it a violation of immigration policy, because the AIP letter states that a student can start their studies online.
Aren't the odds the same between someone registering for courses online after getting an AIP and someone who registers for their courses without getting an AIP, seeing that both options may lead to a study permit rejection?
1. Getting rejected after AIP is very rare, if you are a terrorist or medically unfit then only you will get rejected.
2. Without AIP if someone takes classes and after application gets rejected, institutions might not refund money.
