Hello people from the forum,
Im looking for tickets to do my landing and I have a question:
Do I get any paper stating that im a PR until i get my PR Card in the mail?
Im trying to enroll in a course and I need a PR proof.
Thanks fro the help
Your proof is your copy of the COPR. When you get your COPR in the mail, you get two copies. You give both to immigration officials when you officially land. The first copy with your picture on it is kept by officials. The second copy is returned to you and this is your copy to keep. This is proof of your landing and that you became a PR on the date written on the COPR. Your copy of the COPR is very important. Keep it safe. You can use it to apply for provincial health insurance. You need it when you apply for citizenship. You need it to collect your pension. It is your proof of when you became a PR.

Agree with all the above, except that - for provincial health insurance - they will require also proof of residency (most commonly driving license or housing/flat rental agreement)
In Ontario, I used a piece of mail sent to my home address and also my signed credit card as proof. Each province is different so check the rules for YOUR province.
Right. COPR can serve as the document proving permanent status in Canada. But you'd also need at least two more supporting documents - one for residence and the other a photo ID (sometimes one document can serve as multiple, like a PR card or driver's license).
