I have done my 10th and 12th from the NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling) and the reason I choose the open schooling is because I’m born and bought up in Bahrain and recently moved to India so going to a regular school would require me to study Marathi. I got 72% in 10th and I’m currently pursuing my 12th with the expected marks to be in 80.
I’m looking forward to do my bachelors degree (Mass Media) in Canada, I just wanna know whether the NIOS board is accepted by universities or colleges in Canada. Please let me know if there are atleast a few colleges where I can apply. Thankyou

I think that you can try your luck as there is nothing mentioned on Canadian government website about education taken from open schooling would not be considered for further studies. One can always try. I have seen couple of cases in which student got study permit after having distance education. But keep in mind that very few colleges/universities will accept such education.
But as I said there are possibilities of getting positive outcomes.
You need to apply to know where you can get admission.

No, having an LOA does not guarantee visa approval. LOA is one of the requirements for visa application. Yet, not all who applied for visa got approved.
Yes, they accept NIOS. i myself completed 12th in it. But i have further education from punjab state board of tehnical education after 2009.you can apply with good ielts score and sop mentioning why you choose that board instead of regular one. Best of luck
