Hello, I'm an Indian student who did 10th through normal schooling but decided to opt for NIOS (for distance learning) to get my 12th because of personal problems. Now I want to pursue a degree in Canada but I'm not sure if I'll be eligible to get the visa because of nios. Has anyone here done nios or have any ideas regarding the trouble it can pose pursing degree in Canada?
Nios is government recognized in here and I have good marks/ielts scores, will there be trouble?
Then I think there shouldn't be a problem. The college that I am going to has only said All India Senior School Certificate/Secondary School Certificate. They have not mentioned a specific board that they accept. You can take a look at their academic requirements page for Indian students.
You are free to choose any college, I only chose this because they have spelt out the exact requirements per country, and fingers crossed I should also be attending.

Nios is kinda like Indian GED since they help students who failed or missed a year get SSC certificate which is valid in India but validity outside India was my concern. It's still a senior secondary certificate so maybe I'll mail your uni for help and see their take on it. Btw thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

Yes, you can contact them, it's a college and not a University, however they do offer Honour bachelor's degrees (4 years). First time I am hearing about it, open schooling is not very popular in India.
