Hi,
My wife is studying postgraduate program in Canada. She got the study permit and I have an open work permit which has the same deadline with my wife's study permit. If we divorce, do I lose my open work permit?
Thanks
You really should consult a divorce and immigration lawyer here.
But if your owp was based on your marriage then I believe it will become invalid once you are divorced as the condition of owp are no longer met.
This is incorrect. If you married soon before your wife applied for a student permit and you get divorced after arriving in Canada expect increased scrutiny on subsequent applications.
