I have completed BE(4 years ) regular from UGC accredited university and MSC IT(2 years) distance learning(correspondance) from UGC accredited university

Somebody saying I will get 20 points (only BE considered ) some says 22(BE points + 2points - for distance learning(correspondance) and some says 25 points
Can any one tell me what is the exact points I will score for my education
A distance learning credential is eligible for points as long as it meets the definition of a credential
as outlined in R73. If the credential is not described in terms of number of years duration (i.e.,
three-year bachelor's degree), officers should apply the definition of full-time equivalent study and
knowledge that the visa office has acquired on local education institutions and credentials.
In theory they should give you 25 points but I can't say what happens in practice.
I have done B.com from panjab university via correspondence and I am in the process of applying for canadian immigration under express entry, would my correspondence degree have a negative impact on my immigration process.

The accurate and exact points will be allotted to you based on what your ECA will say for your educational credentials.
Therefore whatever is mentioned in ECA will be the deciding factor in counting points. For example I had regular 18-years of education (M-Phil in Finance from UGC recognized University) but in my ECA it was declared equivalent to Canadian 4-Years Bachelors degree therefore I got only 21-points. I was expecting that my M-Phil will be declared equivalent to Canadian Masters Degree in ECA and I shall be eligible for 23-points. But points are allotted based what equivalency in Canada is mentioned in your ECA issued from ICAS,WES etc.
