Difference employment reference letter vs. Employment records vs. Letter from current employer

I have the same doubt here. Did you use the PhD supervisor letter as an employment reference? Did it work?

Hi,

I used a letter from the Coordinator of my PhD course, describing my activities as a PhD student, working hours, my scholarship. I attached the same letter in those three fields, it worked.
