No, I pretty much have to wait until CIC sends an AOR or processes dates after my date to know for sure. After many calls to Canada Post, it stands that more likely than not it was delivered. Due to such a high volume at the case processing center, sometimes they do not scan all the packages and some packages may get missed. The sorting facility in Mississauga does not leave packages behind, so they are required to get everything out every day. This is what I was told by the 4th supervisor yesterday.
So with that, I have to try to stay sane so early in the process.
BTW I got my Canada Post refund in the mail yesterday..... Thanks Canada Post
Hopefully you will receive something soon. CIC e-mailed me, with my file # and said they received my application (the e-mail came 2.5 weeks after I sent my package). And yes I sent it Express Post with Canada Post. And after about a week, I received another e-mail approving me as sponsor and advising that my file was sent to the visa office abroad.
Since I live 45 mins from Missisauga, would they hate me terribly if I personally hand delivered it to the Robert Speck address? (I prefer driving my package there, as I have lost a TV through courier)

That's interesting Graihn, I've never heard of hand delivery. But I'm thinking, why should that be any different to other couriers? That would definitely give you peace of mind. Keep us updated if you decide to try it.

And may I add, never use purolator.
They lost my TV, and then they "found it" (probably got stolen)
And when it arrived, all the packaging was at the bottom of the box, including styrofoam corners.
And the screen was cracked and the TV was useless. Also they put different lables on it.
Hi
I have the same problem. I send my application to PO Box Address 6100 Station A Mississauga on Thursday January 2 with Canada Post Express service. My tracking changed to OUT FOR DELIVERY on Monday Jan 6. However today on Jan 7 it still shows OUT FOR DELIVERY. Delivery status is not updated
