Can someone who has been deported from Canada to the UK come back. My brother was deported about 20 years ago, he has criminal record since he was a teenager, constantly in trouble with the law, didn't have a job and was a drug addict (herion). Is there anyway possible that he can come back into Canada.
Yes - it's possible for someone who has been deported to return to Canada. Having a criminal background can complicate things.
Without knowing more (what your brother's full criminal record is with dates and any sentences, why he was deported to Canada, if he wants to return temporarily or come to Canada permanently) - it's difficult to say what may or may not be possible for your brother.
Thank you for your reply. Most of his charges and convictions have been for breaking and entering off the top of my there was at least one conviction of drug possession as well as armed robbery.
I forgot to mention that he was in trouble with the law from a very young age. I recall him being taken out of the home and put into foster care and when he was old enough put into juvinule hall, and then, minor security jails and this is how is life went I could barely remember him ever being out for too long, he never held a job.
With such a long and complicated criminal history and a deportation on top of that, you should consult with a qualified immigration lawyer to find out if your brother has a chance of returning to Canada. None of us here are going to be able to tell you due to the complexity of your brother's situation.
You can read through the following links on the CIC web site which talk about individuals who are inadmissible to Canada due to criminality and what they must do to overcome this.
Thank you for the info. I was just curious, I have a feeling that his girlfriend is trying to get him back here and as far as I am concerned I don't think he deserves to be allowed back into Canada.
