I am applying for my Permanent Residence after obtaining my post-secondary education and over a year of work experience in Canada. I was just filling out the Background/Declaration form and am a bit stumped at the dependents section. My parents and brother live back home, in Dubai, and have no intention of moving here with me in the near future. Do I still need to mention them in my form? They are not dependent on me financially or anything of the sort either.
Hi. Your Background declaration IMM5669E as a principal applicant needs to be filled out with your parents info. The Additional Family Information IMM 5406, as an applicant, also needs all the info, parents and brothers and sisters. The section where says Children, write 'Not applicable' inside the name boxes
No matter if they are in Dubai or on the moon. They need to be added. If not, you will have your application returned.
:-X
For god sake. Next time wait for more answers.
You can still go and recover the package because it will go out tomorrow. Go to the office and get it back with your receipt. If they detect that info missing, you will get the package back and won't get the AOR. ???
That is if he gets the AOR in the first place. :-X
And I believe they will definitely find out about the missing info.
What I don't understand is how people can miss that obvious info. When you apply for a WP, that info is required as well.
Ouch. But since these questions are covered in the instruction guide, which the OP evidently did not consult as much as s/he should have, there's a good chance that something else got overlooked. Not to rub it in, but ... instructions ARE provided by CIC...
Chances are that the application will be returned. With the introduction of a CAP and new rules back in NOV 2013, CIO screens applications with much more scrutiny and would return application as incomplete. I would try to get it back before its sent out by postal office. Goodluck.
