So here's the big issue then - CIC will generally be more than happy to add a child that was born after the application was submitted. They'd generally know, because your medical test would have been a challenge with x-rays and pregnancy.
However, with the child born before the application was submitted, there is misrepresentation. Now you have to hope that they appreciate you coming forward prior to passport request and re-evaluate the application in that light.
Thank you so much for your time in anaswering all my questions. I'm just now hoping for their good office to consider. But if not, I just have to accept it. Thank you so much, monkeys89.

There is a process to add a dependent child. It's not impossible. But this may raise questions on their part. And since your application has been pending since 2014, it would appear to me that there are other questions about it that have had to be resolved.

It may technically be misrepresentation but I think it is a major issue if the applicant and dependents already landed before disclosing anything. CIC/IRCC tends to be more lenient if you update them before landing. I am not an expert hence I don't know for sure but this is my own understanding of things.

It's true, they do tend to be more lenient. So we can hope. But still, the form required that all dependents be listed, and in this case, a conscious choice was made not to list all dependents. CIC could be upset at that.
Personally, I think the worst-case scenario is that the application gets re-processed with a new dependent.

yes CIC/IRCC will likely review the whole application and give it additional scrutiny that a standard application would not get. This will delay things. But in the end I think it will eventually work out for the OP.

This is the possibility when you do not declare a dependent who was required to be declared. It's unfortunate, but you cannot choose to not comply with a requirement and then hope that there will be no impacts.
