Greetings!

I would like to ask for your insights about our situation.
My mom works in Canada for 6 years now and our application processed for almost 4 years. It's just recently that we have received an update that it has been completed and neded to update the immigration if there are andy changes in the circumstances of the dependants.

We just send our passports for the visa and informed them about my situation. I gave birth to my daughter way back 2014 same as our application started processing and I didn't inform my parents also. It's just recently that I reveal them my real situation about having a 4 year old daughter since I am truly afraid back then to ruin out application process. We also informed the immigration about all of these information and stories but still nervous on what could happen.

Could it be possible for them to deny our application? I am so worried. Please share some insights about my situation.

You have informed CIC now about the child that you misrepresented by not declaring earlier?

Basically, all you can do now is hope. At least you declared them before the decision has been made. They will likely require you to resubmit some documents, but the entire application could be re-processed.

Yes we have just informed the CIC sat the same time that they have requested our passports for the visa. I even made a letter and an email explaining my side on why I did't tell my parents early. That's why my parents didn't declare it also earlier.

I'm justo hoping that I can bring her someday in Canada even not this time with me. I just wanted to make sure that this can't be the reason for us to be denied.

Then you can hope that they will add the dependent. There will likely be concerns from CIC that the child was born in 2014 and only now declared. It's generally okay if the child was born during the processing period, but not four years earlier when the application was submitted.

It could be. You misrepresented your family status at the time of application.

Yes, you do need to hope. That's why the forms ask you to declare every dependent. You decided not to declare the child when you applied. This was a choice you made, and now that you've at least informed CIC prior to the COPR being issued, you can hope.

What is your relationship with the father? Are you either married to him or living with him?

The application was sent after I got pregnant and gave birth. And I didn't even tell my parents immediately. Yes, thank you so much for your insights. Big help.

If you had informed CIC about your child, the application could be completed by now.
If the process is proceeding, they will request passport/document of your child, medical for him/her...etc
