I can't believe that someone from the UK needs to bring evidence that they will return to their country! ??? I really don't think you'll have any issues, obviously the best evidence would some document to prove your studies.
I have to do it every time I come to Canada - I get a visit to secondary screening on nearly every trip.
I don't worry about it too much now. I always bring a ton of information, if I need it, I have it - if not, life would get really difficult.
