I applied in Delhi for Canada immigration during April 2005. However, till now I have not heard from them other than the file receipt confirmation and a file number. Currently, I have seen advertisements in the newspapers which promise PR within 6 to 12 months. Is it true? If yes, how and what happens to those who applied 4-5 years back like me?
Are there any other members in this forum who applied during 2004-2005 and still waiting for their turn?

HI, There are few applicants in here facing situation like you. they may be able to give you a proper suggestion. in the meantime, here is my suggestion for you, If i were you, I would withdraw my application and re-apply. Yes, complete application can be processed within 6- 12 months and get PR status if fsw requirments are met accordingly. since it has been almost five years since you applied, your chances are higher now with your work experiences and any other further education if you have done during this period.

Kindly write your experience and views as to how long shall I wait to hear 'anything' from the CIC? I am sick of waiting. Does it makes sense to re-apply under new rules?
I am also Feb 2005 applicant and I sent updates in Jan 2009..from that time to till the date nothing has come from CIC side. As far as fast track is concerned you should be waited till the end of May..as new rules with new NOCs are going to be introduced.
