The only good part about this, some officer might have been assigned to review. But he can take the whole summer just to refuse the applications. 96 days and counting
yep, that was my initial assumption as well. I was thinking of applying for GCMS notes. What do you think? I saw in some thread, requesting for GCMS sometimes fast-tracks the application (emphasis on "sometimes") :)

I have done some research on eligibility going back to “not started”. Most got their visas within a week. But i have also found one whose application got refused who didn’t share how long it took to get the refusal. You can try applying for GCMS. But I highly doubt anything would change anything. I have sent multiple webforms explaining how challenging the separation has been and the impact on our mental health caused by this delay and uncertainty. I now truly believe they are heartless and stopped trying anything. I have applied for many visas in the past, never had such experience. I will apply another one using the new portal if i dont hear back this week.

I really feel for you and I hoped your cases are resolved soon. Regarding "apply another", do you mean you are gonna apply via the new IRCC portal for a TRV or are you gonna raise a webform? At this point, I made peace with any response. I hate the limbo part of the IRCC bs

Not webform. So apparently, there is an option to apply another one using the new IRCC portal while you have another application in progress with old GCKey. Some had success doing so. If they approve the second application, they will withdraw the other application. With the new IRCC portal, they promised to give a decision withing 14-30 business days. I wish I knew about it and applied through the new IRCC portal. I just came to know about this option this weekend on this forum.

I hope, you get a decision soon as yours was assigned to an officer way faster than mine.

As we speak, my wife's application was just approved. Good luck to you and all
