Need your guidance to select the NOC code while applying for Express Entry.
With Degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have 15.5 years experience in Supply chain, procurement, warehouse and inventory management, expediting as well as implementation of SAP MM. Have worked for organizations such as General Motors India, Honda, Toyota, Fiat, Alstom and ONGC Petro additions.
My current designation is Manager - Materials Management
Below are the NOC where my experience matches. Need to know which NOC I should select for maximizing chances of getting into Express Entry pool.
0113 Purchasing managers – 0
0731 Managers in transportation – 0
1215 Supervisors, supply chain, tracking and scheduling co-ordination occupations - B
My experience matches below NOC codes after going thru detailed job description
0113 Purchasing Managers (Skill level 0)
1215 - Supervisors, supply chain, tracking and scheduling co-ordination occupations (skill level B)
Since last 4.5 years I have experience which matches both NOC codes. But job title is Manager. (Sep-2012 till date)
Before this current job, for 3 years (Sep 2009 to Sep 2012) with another employer, my experience was more pertaining to NOC 1215 but the job title was Manager instead of Supervisor.
I am hopeful of getting Employee reference letter for NOC 1215 with Manager title for the period Sep-2009 to Sep-2012). For current job, I am trying to avoid asking for Employee reference letter at this stage and even they might refuse to provide it.
Pls guide what to do in such case.
1) Which NOC code i must select?
2) Does selection of NOC code in Skill level 0 fetch more points anywhere compared to Skill level B?
