My online application changed to decision made on 21st March 2013. It also said the visa office will contact you concerning this decision. Any idea how long it takes to hear from them? I applied to the UK visa office. It's so unfair to update the online application before contacting the applicant telling them what the decision is. I'm going out of my mind waiting. They also changed my home address from Ireland to Canada. Is this a good sign? I haven't been asked for passport or anything yet.
We received your application for permanent residence on July 9, 2012.
We started processing your application on March 19, 2013.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I haven't been contacted about an interview. They requested extra documents that I've already sent. I'm located in Ireland so not far from the UK visa office. Do they usually send letter by post rather than email?

Yes, you need to get your official COPR - Confirmation of Permanent Resident. This is an official legal document with photo so can't be emailed! You get 2 copies, 1 will include your photograph and you give to the immigration officer when you first land in Canada, and the 2nd you will keep forever.
You will hear something very, very soon !!! Congrats
Same thing happens to my husband..address changed to the Canadian one and also the same line was added. It took about 2 weeks till we hear back from the visa office for the passport request. Oh and my husband had completed an interview also throughout the process...
Congrats - you're done! London did the same for me - updated the address to City, Province, Canada, and then Decision Made. Since CIC now states that you live in Canada, you know it's a positive outcome - so no need to worry! that's what has happened to most people going through the London office. You should get your COPR in the post in the coming few days. The validity of your COPR is 1 year from the medicals, so depending on when you have done them.... also - if you're not ready to move to Canada, you can fly there, land as a PR, and go back to Ireland to get everything sorted out! and then move to canada later on.
Good luck!
