Oh no worries. I wasn’t actually the one who was planning to submit by paper. I think it was someone else in the thread. I was just sharing about the photos. ☺

Ok, I guess that means that they keep improving the system. Did you have any issues with the online app?

So this acknowledgement email removes some of the confusion we all had about online applications. & also that they are making enhancements.

No, not at all. It was actually a smooth process as long as you have all your docs scanned and ready for upload. That’s why I’m wondering what’s the cause of no AOR after Feb 26 for online applicants (based on the data from the tracker) despite the fact that they continue issuing for paper based January Applicants although they stated on their website that they are processing files submitted on the week of Nov 27.

Yeah, that doesn’t really match what people have been saying. Well, I’ll be submitting mine online next week. One more question though. What email address did that confirmation come from?

IRCC updated their status page:
Wait until you receive your AOR
Last updated: March 9, 2021

We’re now sending AOR letters or emails for applications received
the week of December 31, 2020
If you still haven’t received your AOR, your application may be
  • taking longer for us review due to COVID-19
  • incomplete and on its way back to you, or
  • going through further review before we start processing it
I'm starting to get concerned as I applied online in February, while we still have people in here that are waiting for AORs for their online applications.

Is anyone going to follow up with IRCC through the webform and attach their saved copy?

Here’s the email address

[email protected]

I actually got two email after submission. First one is submission confirmation then the second is the link to download application copy. I think they’re trying to update things along the way as I’ve heard that these emails weren’t sent to the first few people who applied online.

Have you tried contacting them through webform or call? Haven’t seen anyone who submitted online after Dec 10 got an AOR. Can’t ask them personally as I just submitted few days ago. I’m just concerned with the trend.

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!

I applied online on December 27, 2020. I am guessing that they are processing files within the week I applied. Will I get the AOR now or will I join those whose application has been delayed? Wow!

IRCC, I know I have not been lucky with you guys getting any of my immigration applications processed within the set timeframe. Can you guys be gracious towards this last immigration application and give me my AOR? Help me Lord!!!
