you can call the CIC customer care using Google Hangouts or skype and the IVR reads exactly what is there in your status. If you have patience, after the IVR you have an option to talk to an agent but these days the wait times are over 30 mins.

I called cic and spoke to the agent but he was not very forthcoming just said that everything is ok and application is within the normal processing time
